US spot ethylene prices fall amid ample supply, weak demand

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US ethylene spot prices fell on lower trade activity this week as supply continues to outpace demand. Prices were assessed at 13.75-14.75 cents/lb ($303-325/tonne) DEL (delivered), compared with 15.25-16.00 cents/lb in the previous week. Derivative demand remains sluggish across downstream sectors, and supply outpaces demand.
