US July PE contracts decline on sufficient supply, lower feedstock costs

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US polyethylene (PE) contracts for July were assessed 3 cents/lb ($66/tonne) lower, tracking sufficient supply levels and declining feedstock costs. Upstream, ethylene contract prices have fallen for six consecutive months, recording a cumulative decline of 5.75 cents/lb during the first six months of the year.
