LONDON (ICIS)--Polyethylene (PE) spot prices are slipping in Europe as upstream naphtha and demand slump. Naphtha has lost around $150/tonne since mid-May, alongside falling crude prices. As naphtha is one of the main drivers of ethylene, and PE loosely follows price movements in the ethylene market, many buyers have taken to the side lines, waiting for July numbers to emerge.
