NEW YORK (ICIS)--Dow will not push ahead with a plan to build a 450,000 tonne/year polyethylene (PE) project in Europe at this time, its CEO said on Thursday. “We’re going to take a look at the 450kt/year European expansion. I think with the demand right now in Europe and with the market outlook, we don’t see a reason to push that forward to a final investment decision right now,” said Jim fitterling, CEO of Dow, on the company’s Q3 earnings conference call.
