LONDON(ICIS)--European fatty acids second-quarter contracts settled at stable-tostrong levels for tallow-based material and stable-to-weak levels for palm-derived material.Palm stearic acid prices were stable for the second quarter at €670-750/tonne FD(free delivered)NWE(northwest Europe)amid limited change to market fundamentals and relatively steady feedstock values.There were some fluctuations in feedstock crude palm oil(CPO)prices towards the beginning of the second quarter,but they have stablised since then,Tallow stearic prices were also stable at €650-690/tonne FD NWE,with price trends closely in step with palm material.No issues were noted in the tallow market at the beginning of the quarter.
