Swiss Sika net profit after taxes rise by 24.8%, sales up 6.9%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sika's net profit after taxes rose by 24.8% year on year to Swiss francs (Swfr) 246.3m in the first half of this year, buoyed by favourable exchange rates and margins, the Swiss specialty chemicals producer said on Friday. Its net sales rose by 6.9% year on year to Swfr2.81bn in January-June this year, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) were 18.8% higher at Swfr439.7m, the company said in a statement.
