Braskem Q3 profit drops on lower Brazil petchems, olefins, forex

LONDON (ICIS)--Braskem’s third-quarter net profit fell 45% year on year to Brazilian reais (R) 818m as a result of lower earnings across many of its divisions and headwinds from local currency appreciation, the Brazil-headquartered petrochemicals producer said on Thursday.
