Europe PVC producers target ?40-60/tonne hikes for CIS markets

MOSCOW (MRC)--Negotiations on prices of European polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for April deliveries to the CIS markets began last week with all producers targeting a major increase in export prices, according to the ICIS-MRC Price report. The contract price of ethylene in Europe for April shipments was agreed up ?60/tonne from March, which in turn increased PVC production costs by about ?30/tonne. However, some European producers announced the same rise in export PVC prices as the increase in ethylene prices.
