China’s Wanhua Chem to restart Yantai MDI plant earliest in mid-Nov

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Wanhua Chemical will restart its 600,000 tonne/year methylene di-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) unit in Yantai, Shandong province, in mid- November at the earliest, a company source said on Wednesday. An explosion at the unit on 20 September has resulted in the month-long scheduled turnaround, that was supposed to commence on that day, to be delayed.
