HOUSTON (ICIS)--PBF Energy plans to begin a turnaround at its refinery in Delaware City, Delaware, ahead of schedule-after a power outage caused the US-based refinery to shut down the plant in January, it said on Monday. The plant-wide shutdown happened on 24 January because of the outage, caused by severe winter storms, PBF said. Much of the mid-Atlantic coast was hit by bad weather at the time.

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Canadian producer MBAC Fertilizer announced on Monday that the negotiation deadline has been extended to 5 February with an unnamed investment fund that is active in the industry. MBAC said both parties have mutually agreed to further extend their letter of intent, which contains an exclusivity clause and the deadline for entering into definitive binding documentation. The Toronto-based producer of phosphate and potash owns and operates the Itafos Arraias single super phosphate (SSP) integrated fertilizer facility in central Brazil and began a strategic review process in July 2015.
