摘要

Due to its high thermal efficiency and production capacity, blast furnaces are widely used to produce pig iron at integrated steel plants. Many steel plants based on BF-BOF route are trying to reduce pig iron production cost by using low grade iron ores. Generally, low cost iron ores have high gangue contents (low T.Fe) or high in specific component such as Al2O3, S or P. In some specific ore, As contents is very high up to 0.04% and this trace element is also harmful for steel product. In this study, possibility of As removal in ironmaking were studied including metal/slag partitioning and gaseous removal. Thermodynamic calculations together with experiments were carried out to derive suitable condition for As removal during ironmaking process.
