Serrated flow curves have been commonly observed in various metal metallic lic materials under certain conditions conditions. The serrations are mostly referred to as the Portevin - Le Chatelier (PLC) effect effect, which in involving volving various types of deformation localiz localized ed bands bands. Our recent study found . interesting serrat serration ions appeared in a metastable austenite Fe Fe-Ni Ni-C alloy [1] .
