摘要

Instrumented indentation testing (IIT) is one of the mechanical characterization methods in which a relationship between applied load (P) and penetration depth (h) is measured as a mechanical response of materials. Material properties such as hardness and elastic modulus can be extracted from obtained P-h curves.[1] Several approaches have been proposed to estimate elastoplastic properties from instrumented indentation, where dual indenter technique[2] has been recognized as a standard approach. However, dual indenter technique namely required to change the indenters during the experiment, is a source of potential errors. Therefore, we present a new approach to characterize elastoplastic properties with neighboring indentations in this study.
