摘要

The main structural macro-defects, observed in thallium halogenide monocrystals that have been grown from the melt via Stockbarger method, are described. It was established that their appearance is connected with growth conditions. Parameters of the growing process, having the effect on the appearance of different defects, are determined. During these investigations they used the device allowing to control the position and shape of the separating boundary between liquid and solid phases in the process of monocrystal growth. The conditions providing obtaining the defect-free thallium halogenides are chosen.
