摘要

In order to form plastic laminates and paper into acylindrical cup, deep drawing with local heating and iron wassuccessfully applied. Paper and its composites required apreliminary steam treatment to make the flange material moist andsoft thereby increasing its thickness. The forming limits, that is,the limiting drawing ratio (LDR) was greater than 2.5. Thediameter and thickness distribution of the drawn cup wall wasuniform, while at higher temperatures the shape of the drawn cupbecame unstable due to strain recovery.
