This article is a 'must-read' for any Scheduler who has ever had to manage a schedule with multiple contractual milestones. An original technique is offered by the Author that should be in all professional Scheduler's 'toolboxes.' The problem of using a single float value to manage a project with multiple contractual milestones has challenged the best of Schedulers. This paper revisits the issue by taking an entirely new approach to the problem using longest path. A known expert in the use of longest path explains how longest path is the only correct method for determining milestone-controlling activities. The author then proceeds to explain an entirely new way to create Milestone Longest Paths for this crucial measurement using a simple procedure available to everyone. Finally, we list the first-ever, "rules for the proper use of longest path."
