Automated folder-gluer offers automated set-up

Kama recently unveiled its latest innovation - the FlexFold 52 folder-gluer which features automated set-up. This new machine has been designed for short and medium runs, as well as dealing with frequent and very fast job changes. It can also be set up quickly for different products and formats. A distinctive feature is the newly developed 'APA System' (automated plough length adjustment), which makes it possible to adjust the folding belts automatically - not only in transverse, but also in longitudinal direction. As a result, changeovers, which often take hours on conventional equipment, can now be performed in minutes. Kama has global patents pending for this automated set-up.
