Preparation and Characterization of Nano TiO2 Antibacterial Corrugating Medium

The antibacterial corrugating medium was prepared by the coating method using nano TiO2 as the antibacterial agent, and the antibacterial effect was investigated by the inhibition zone method. In addition, the mechanical properties of corrugating medium, such as the thickness, stiffness, bursting strength, tensile strength and folding endurance, were studied under different concentrations of TiO2 antibacterial agent. Results showed that the difference of lateral folding endurance was not obvious, but the stiffness, bursting strength, tensile strength and folding endurance were increased obviously with increase concentration of antimicrobial agent. The diameter of inhibition zone was initially increased with the increase concentration of the antimicrobial agent, but decreased when the concentration was more than 0.1 wt%. The maximum diameter was 5.89 mm when the concentration was 0.1 wt%.
