Mills in Turkey manage to keep rebar prices relatively stable despite generally insufficient business activity both locallyand abroad. In the meantime, sliding scrap, currency fluctuations, weak longs local market prevents mills from billetimports. Suppliers’ positions could be supported by the long-awaited domestic rise in sales, but so far it remains anexpectation but not reality.
