China sets new ultra-low emission standards for steel mills

China’s government decided to set ultra-low emission standards for steel mills. The half of all producers in the countrywill have to upgrade capacities till the end of 2020. The new standards will require significant expenditures and maybecome the problem for smaller mills. For bigger companies this target will bring positive results in the future but itmay hamper further strong output growth in the near term.
