British Steel is reportedly interested in the purchase of all assets of the troubled Latvian steel mill.British Steel consortium, which includes longs and sections producer British Steel, private investor Greybull Capital andEstonian company Baltic Metal Holding sent a letter to Latvia’s responsible officials in which they expressed interestin buying Liepajas Metalurgs as a whole entity, local sources report. Sources say British Steel already sent a similarrequest in February, offering EUR 60?75 million in investment to replace Liepaja’s rolling mill.
