The increase in the German rebar market has stumbled in late April over tepid demand. Cheaper import offers added to the pressure as well. German mills are selling rebar at the two-week-ago prices; deals are rare in view of holidays in the EU. Local mills introduced an increase of EUR 10/t in mid-April citing more expensive scrap.
