Nippon steel’s fnancial performance to stay healthy amid no further expansions abroad

The rating agency Moody’s affrmed the senior unsecured rating for the largest Japanese steel producer Nippon Steel Corporation as Baa1, outlook was left stable. Profts of the company will stay solid, despite pressure from higher raw material costs and required spendings for Indian Essar Steel, which was recently bought jointly with ArcelorMittal. No further investments in the expansion of foreign capacities are planned for now as they may hurt the producer’s fnancial stability.
