Vietnamese hrC importers refuse to deal above $515/t Cfr

Buyer activity is generally slow in the Vietnamese HRC import market as most local manufacturers insist on discounts while suppliers are in no hurry to make discounts. Thus, only few deals for Indian coils were signed during the last two weeks.Indian offers of HRC (SAE1006, 2 mm) stand at $520-525/t CFR, the same as two weeks ago. However, considering that the majority of Vietnamese customers refuse to deal above $515/t CFR some Indian suppliers agreed to provide discounts. In particular, a deal for around 7,000 t of HRC was signed at $512-513/t CFR for September shipment last week. This week, another deal for 5,000 t was reportedly done at $515/t CFR, Metal Expert learnt.
