Rebar output rises to 26% in China’s June crude steel production

Chinese rebar production continued to rise in June, despite restrictions and high cost. Most other major products also increased. The only drop was seen in the CRC segment due to weak sales in the automaking industry.Rebar output added another 4% over the month in June at 22.7 million t, according to the latest release of National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The share of this product in total crude steel output remained on top and even grew to the highest point since December 2017 at 25.9%, according to data monitored by Metal Expert.
