Unipec to buy US crude again in Oct

Sinopec's trading arm halted its purchases of US crude in Aug. after Beijing announced it might slap a 25% tariff on imports of US crude. Sinopec then successfully lobbied the government to remove (at least temporarily) crude from the list of retaliatory tariffs. Unipec is now reportedly willing to make purchases of US crude again, beginning with Oct. loadings, but it was uncertain how much crude it would buy or if it planned on shipping the volumes to China or to international customers or if it would continue doing business with the US much beyond Oct.
