KBR to license ROSE as part of resid hydrocracking complex in India

The company will Ecense its ROSE(r)solvent deasphalting(SDA)technology to Hindustan Petroleum Corp.Ltd.(HPCL)for its residue upgrading project at its Visakhapatnam refinery in India.HPCL will integrate the ROSE unit with Chevron Lummus Global(CLG)'s LC-MAX ebullated-bed resid hydrocracking technology to boost conversion from the resid hydrocracking complex.Doug Kelly,KBR President,Technology Solutions,said"We are proud to announce this latest project award for KBR's world-leading ROSE process.Our innovative ROSE technology integrated with the LC-MAX ebullated-bed hydrocracking process is an attractive economic solution and will enhance the overall refinery profitability."
