Nigeria ramps up refining upgrades to hike fuel production

The country is hoping that its Waltersmith Modular Refinery in Ohaji/Egbema will come online in May. The refinery will process 5K b/d of crude into gasoline and diesel in the first phase while the second phase will increase crude and condensate processing capacity to 25K b/d and will produce aviation fuel, kerosene, and LPG. State-owned Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. is aiming to make an FID for its condensate refinery project in the Niger Delta.
