Both US states of California and Oregon have implemented programs to reduce GHG emissions from their transport sector.California's Low Carbon Fuel Standard(LCFS)and Oregon's Clean Fuels Program(CFP)both aim to reduce the average carbon intensity of transportation fuels used in the states by 20.0% by 2030.Both programs have not veered too much from 10% ethanol in gasoline;however,California's LCFS has commanded more of the renewables in diesel at 22.9% vs.Oregon's 10.2%.Overall,Oregon has a higher blend percentage of biodiesel(~8.0%)than California(-7.0%),but California blends over twice as much renewable diesel as biodiesel to bring their renewables in diesel to over double what Oregon uses.According to S&P Global Platts Analytics renewable diesel demand in California rose by 61% last year.The US average for renewables in diesel is still just below 5.0%.
