US Gulf Coast cash crude prices enjoyed a week of rebound

According to assessments by Reuters,the outright price for LLS(at St James,LA)was pegged at $25.22/bbl on May 1-a $4.73/bbl week-on-week jump.WTI priced at Midland and WTI priced at the Magellan East Houston terminal(both in Texas)each gained $4.48/bbl over the week ending May 1 to hit $22.22/bbl and $22.97/bbl,respectively,on Friday.Heavy LA Sweet,Mars,and West TX Sour all saw week-on-week price rises of $3.73/bbl.HLS(priced at Empire,LA)hit $25.97/bbl,Mars reached $23.72/bbl,and WTS was pegged at $23.47/bbl on May 1.The discount on WTI futures to Brent futures opened up by $2.16/bbl to $6.66/bbl,making Gulf Coast grades more attractive.
