MODEC and Technip-SHI JV to Compete for FEED of FPSO in Barossa

Australia-based Santos announced it has selected Japan’s MODEC and a joint venture between France’sTechnipFMC and S. Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industry (SHI) for the front-end engineering and design (FEED) of afloating production storage and offloading facility (FPSO) for the Barossa offshore project. Santos aims to lower theproject costs through the design competition.
