South Korea’s domestic ferrous scrap market declined further from today or April 24. Each electric steelmaker inthe near or surrounding Busan area which is south part of South Korea,, such as Daehan Steel, Kisco, YK Steel, andKorea Steel Shapes,, informed each supplier that they would reduce a domestic purchase price by W 10,000/ton oraround Y 1,000 from April 24. The price reduction of the domestic market expanded to 4 straight weeks since the 1st weekof April. The range of decline in major items totally expanded to W 40,000/ton or around Y 4,000.
