Japanese integrated steel mills have completed export negotiations on wire rods for the current quarter shipments, reportedly with a markup of $40-50 depending on the destinations and products. The market price of ordinary wire sank below the $500 CFR level, and some countries offered a price of $450 FOB or less to remote regions. High carbon steel wire was also reportedly priced $515-520 at lowest.
