Coal Production at Ulaan Ovoo Coal Mine Restarts

It became obvious that the coal production at Ulaan Ovoo coal mine in Mongolia restarted in March 2019. 21,000 tons of coal was produced at this coal mine in March. Ulaan Ovoo coal mine is an open-cut coal mine in northern Mongolia close to the border with Russia, and Prophecy Development Corp., Canada has a 100% interest in this coal mine. The type of coal produced is an exportoriented thermal coal (CV: 5000Kcal/kg), and this coal mine has a thermal coal production capacity of a maximum of 2Mtpa.
