China in Ample Buying Sentiment of Slabs Even at $360 CFR in Asian Region

Against a backdrop of China’s buying support, prices of hot-rolled (HR) steel coils do not drop, and therefore, prices of steel slabs are also rising slightly. China’s rerolling mills being in a buying sentiment are also sending inquiries of slabs to Japan at US$360-365 CFR. Those prices are higher than those up to a ceiling of around $350 CFR in slightly progressing negotiations in Southeast Asia. Selling to China is more profitable even taking into account the freight difference.
