Royal College of Physicians' flagship conference

I read with interest Richard Horton's Offline "The RCPCH-defending children's health" (June 15, p 2068). He will be pleased that plans are in place, and have been since I acceded office in August, 2012, for the Royal College of Physicians to have an annual flagship conference for physicians at all levels. Our recent survey of all fellows and members has highlighted that three quarters of respondents would be interested in attending such a conference. We are planning to run this major conference with a view to growing it each year. Research is ongoing as to the content to ensure that it suits the needs of all of our membership and we would value input for other ideas from readers of The Lancet.
