Evaluation of Six Minutes Walk Test in Dogs with Secondary Pulmonary Hypertension

Twenty one apparently healthy dogs and thirty three dogs with secondary pulmonary hypertension were subjected to six minute walk test (6MWT). The pulse rate, respiratory rate before and after the stress test and recovery time in apparently healthy animals were 109.33 ± 4.82 per minute, 24.76 ± 0.93 per minute and 158.57 ± 4.70 seconds respectively. Dogs with secondary pulmonary hypertension could not clear the stress test.
