About 42 years ago Amritlakshmi sold its first 100 per cent indigenous sizing machine to Mafatlal, Mumbai, formalising its vision of supplying fault-free technology. Around 400 machines all over India and abroad followed. In 1986, Amritlakshmi dared its first high-tech project and won. It was in this project that the Mafatlals achieved 97 per cent efficiency on our machine after India's first 114 airjets were commissioned by them and us. Around 1970 onwards, Amritlakshmi sold 100 processing machines in seven years - a veritable record in those days! In 1992, during India-ITME, Amritlakshmi was the first company to bring imported airjet and waterjet looms for high value fabrics as well as technical textiles - glass yarn weaving. And the early 90s saw Amritlakshmi introduce its jute preparatory range.
