Dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene derivatives from the stems of Tripterygium hypoglaucum and activity evaluation

Phytochemical investigation of an extract of the stems of Tripterygium hypoglaucum resulted in the identification of five undescribed dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene derivatives, namely as hypoterpenes A-E (1 5). On the basis of the comprehensive spectroscopic experiments, their structures were elucidated. All isolated compounds were assayed for anti-inflammatory activities. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
