It’s that time of year when U.S. coal producers can sit back, reflect, and think about what they have to be thankful for in 2018. With the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend looming, not much business will be done in the next few days. Luckily for producers and traders, a LOT of business has been done January-November. Which brings us to our list of seven things U.S. coal guys can truly be thankful for this weekend and when business resumes on Monday: No. 1 – You can go ahead and pencil in the export market in big, bold letters, from a coking coal perspective, and especially a thermal coal perspective.
