Winberg talks to the coal folks, then heads for the Senate

On Thursday May 9, Steve Winberg was in Orlando talking about fossil fuels at the Eastern Fuel Buyers Conference. On Thursday May 16 he was talking about the same thing, but this time his audience was the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Winberg, the Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy at the Department of Energy, was at the hearing to make some of the same points he made in Orlando about carbon capture technology and its potential impact on coal-fired and gas-fired power plants.
