LG&E-KU, Alliance sign contracts for deliveries through ‘24

Louisville Gas & Electric/Kentucky Utilities have signed several long-term coal contracts with Alliance Coal, according to Kentucky Public Service Commission filings. Under one contract, Alliance is supplying various LG&E/KU plants starting Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2024. The contract calls for base quantities of 2.5- 3 million tons delivered in 2021; 3-3.5 million tons delivered each year in 2022-23; and 1-2.5 million tons in 2024.
