Seaborne metallurgical coal prices were steady Monday,while China domestic prices were expected to stabilize in the nearterm, market sources said.S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol coal up 50 cents/mt to $218/mt FOB Australia, while CFR China was steady at $220.50/mt Monday.In the FOB market, a trade was concluded late last Friday at$216.50/mt FOB Australia for 75,000 mt of an Australian Premium Mid-Vol Goonyella coal for December 11-20 laycan.“It seems that suppliers do not have many spot cargoes availablefor December delivery,” a trader said.Activity in the Indian market was muted Monday ahead of theDeepavali holiday on Tuesday, with many participants out of themarket this week.
