Coking coal prices continued to diverge between Chinaand non-Chinese markets, while relatively low prices saw a pickup inbuying activity, market sources said Thursday.Platts assessed Premium Low Vol higher by $1/mt day on day at$175.50/mt FOB Australia, while CFR China prices were down $1.25/mtat $182.75/mt.In China, a trade was heard close to being sold to an end-user onThursday at around $178.50-$179/mt CFR China for an 80,000 mt cargoof Australian Premium Mid Vol with 67-69% CSR, for August 8-17 laycan.
