Singapore—Indonesian low-CV thermal coal prices were assessed to be steady Thursday amid stable offer levels and slower production at some mines, market sources said. Offers for Supramax cargoes of Indonesian 4,200 kcal/kg GAR – or 3,800 kcal/kg NAR- coal were heard at $35.50/mt FOB Kalimantan and above for November and December loading.A firm bid from China was heard for the same grade of coal at $35.50/mt for loading in December. “Inquiries for early December loading cargoes of 3,800 kcal/kg NAR coal were firm but I have no cargo left to offer,” a producer said Thursday.
