London—Miner BHP said Tuesday premium hard coking coal prices have fallen from highs earlier this year and late 2018 as supply improved from Australia and demand fell in Europe. BHP said met coal prices reacted to supply constraints in Queensland and spot prices rose in the second half of 2018, in an earnings report. The TSI Premium HCC index averaged at a peak of $226.06/mt FOB Australia in December, before falling, with declines accelerating in August on weaker Chinese forward spot demand.
