CFR China met coal prices inch up on new bookings, PlV price steady

The seaborne metallurgical coal market saw a flat trading day in the FOB market after strong buying interest observed earlier, while the Chinese market gained on new bookings. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol coal steady at $209.25/mt FOB Australia, and the CFR China assessment was up $1.50/mt at $208.50/mt Wednesday. In China, there were signs of buying interest by Chinese steelmakers, albeit at a slow pace.
