China’s gasoil demand sees strong growth

Singapore—China’s apparent demand for gasoil saw its highest growth rate in six-and-a-half years at 15.3% as traders increased buying to build inventory. Demand rose 15.3% year on year to reach 3.71 million b/d in September—the highest level since November 2016 when it was 3.76 million b/d, S&P Global Platts calculations based on the latest official data showed.
