US Treasury extends chevron’s Venezuela waiver until october 25

Washington-The US on Friday extended for three months a waiver allowing Chevron and four US oil services companies to continue working in Venezuela’s oil sector, according to a US Department of the Treasury notice. The waiver, which was due to expire Saturday, will allow Chevron, Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes and Weatherford International to continue certain work with PDVSA, Venezuela’s state- owned oil company, until October 25.
