Permian strength lifts Occidental global output

New York-Occidental Petroleum raised its 2018 global production guidance following an increase in output in the first quarter of 2018, driven largely by gains in the Permian Basin, company executives said Wednesday. Occidental produced 609,000 boe/d globally in Q1, exceeding the 603,000 boe/d high end of its guidance.
